Mainly because struts is a horrible, horrible thing to work with.
Newer frameworks like Faces are a lot better.

Just out of curiosity, is there a specific reason that you are using
Struts with ColdFusion where you have plenty of CF frameworks already
available. However I will recommend Spring over Struts since it is
much simpler.

As far as rave about struts is concerned, I think it almost over now
with several new frameworks coming on the market e.g. Spring. I have
occassionally used Struts and find it to be way more complicated but I
cannot frankly say about the benefit that it might provide for a CF
application

It's actually Jakarta Struts (no 'c'), and there's at least one
article on macromedia.com about using it with CF. A search on their
site should turn it up.
