Yoiu can do it both ways. I prefer to just use the CFC's to retireve the
data, or write the data as the case may be, and have Actionscript handle
everything else, which includes validation of data as well as any
formatting.

Now that I work a lot more with CF and Actionscript, I am having to ask the
same question, when is it appropriate to process data on the server side and
