Sometimes, for some wacky reason or other, services don't get registered properly. However, as long as you have the files on your disk, you can create a service entry within the registry. You can do this using the Registry Editor, or with a Resource Kit tool like srvinstw.exe or instsrv.exe (depending on which version of Windows you're running).
