I forgot to set up my username and password for the DSN - It works ok now.

If you can see the connection in the system DNS setup, then I'm sure you
have MyODBC drivers installed.
You need to put in a few variables.

Windows DNS name: (the odbc name you want)
MySQL host: (localhost if it's on your computer)
MySQL database name: (the exact name of your dbase in mySQL)
User: (the username you gave when installing mysql)
Password: (the password you gave)
Port: (3306 is default, you may have to put that in)

Other then that theres all of the check boxes, but I never check any of
them and it works fine.

One other thing is to make sure that MySQL is up and running, if you
have MySQLAdmin you can test it.

I need some direction in creating a workable ODBC connection with mySQL.
