Heck, I even use CVS at home, and I have my entire Documents and
Settings tree in it, and my system does an automatic commit every 6
hours. So, if my workstation craps itself, I can restore my data from
the CVS repository on my home server :-)

That would depend on the complexity of the requirements (especially
interfaces to other systems/components), the depende
change, then I definitely make backups
before applying the change.that's just me though. I guess it depends on
your personality.
