checked before even considering buying Vista to make sure I
got what I needed.

previous message, it has two links to MS Technet which indicate otherwise:

Vista Premium comes with a cut down version of IIS, authentication and
multiple websites are not supported, and if you need to or want these you
will need Vista Business/Enterprise/Ultimate for the full blown inclusion of
IIS 7.0
