Copying my local CFC to the server seems to work.. there are not files in
there but it's not popping up with that error message either.

kinda sounds like this file may be corrupted or you have a permission
issue on that file.
Can you open the file?
can your browse to the file directly, which should redirect you to the
cfc explorer.
check the permissions on the file and compare to some other file in
the folder and see if they are t

I added cfdebug to the URL and nada..
What's up with this error?
