You could use mapscript which will talk to a variety of data sources
including shapefiles, postgresql, oracle, etc.
I have written a cfc to encapsulate the mapscript API. You can details at
http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/docs/howto/coldfusion but you might need to ask
me for the latest v
Anyone got some mapping software that would allow me to create a map of
Australia with data based on a postcode. i.e. average property value in 4000
is $xxx, in 4039 is $yyy.
