The only Australian and New Zealand conference aimed specifically at the hardcore* end of ColdFusion development is back in 2011. This year it gets better: Additionally to the already awesome double-ColdFusion-track goodness, we're adding a dedicated Flash Platform/Flex track. Let's repeat this, because it's important: We're having 3 (three!) tracks this year! Oh - and this unique and new experiment will be named "cf.Objective(ANZ) + Flex 2011".
Come 16-18 November 2011, we'll be picking up where we left off with an even bigger and better event than last year. The main conference takes place on 17-18 November and "Day 0" (16 November) will be filled with full- and half-day workshops again. We're going to continue at the Rydges Melbourne which proved to be a great venue and we've got great people on the organising committee again. Last thing missing: speakers and sessions. And that's where YOU come into play: the public call for speakers is now open. If you're interested in coming to Melbourne to present on a topic that fits into either the "ColdFusion Enterprise Development" theme or into the new area of "RIA development with Adobe's Flash Platform and Flex" we'd love to hear from you. Topics we're looking for you to speak on are in (but not limited to) the following major categories: Coding: CFML, CFScript, ActionScript 3, MXML, Flex 3 and Flex 4 etc. Architecture and Design: OOP & Design Patterns, ColdFusion and Flash/Flex Frameworks, Modelling and Business Analysis, Model-driven development with Flash Builder, Refactoring legacy code, Persistence etc. Process and Methodology: Agile Development, SOA, TDD and BDD, Managing large architectures, Managing CF clusters etc. Integration and Testing: CF and Java, Flex and CF, AMF Remoting, BlazeDS, LiveCycle DS, Build and Deployment processes, Version control and other means of managing one's code, Writing ColdFusion Builder and Flash Builder extensions, Server tuning, JVM Tuning, Continous Integration, Unit Testing etc Flash Platform: Flash Player 3D, Flex Frameworks, Flex-Mojos and Maven, Developing UI components for Flash and Flex, AIR, Mobile development with Flash, Flex and AIR, Workflows between designers and developers, Flash Player Performance Tuning, LC Collaboration Services, P2P Architectures for Flash etc. Please let us know by 15 August 2011 if you're interested by emailing speak...@cfobjective.com.au with a short blurb about yourself and abstracts or session proposal of the topics you'd be interested in presenting. cf.Objective(ANZ) will provide speaker accommodation for the night of the 17 to 18 November at the conference venue. At this stage we unfortunately can't provide any further financial assistance with travel cost or other expenses.
