Hi all - for the past several years I've been one of the faculty
members in a week-long summer institute for PhD students interested in
research in digital government (or e-goverment if you prefer). It was
in New York City in 2007, Manchester in 2008, and it will be in
Seattle this summer, June 21-27. See http://www.ctg.albany.edu/institute

There is considerable interest among the students coming this summer
in applications in the developing world, and I wanted to check whether
there are UW folks working on projects that might be of particular
interest to the group -- we could arrange a presentation, a field trip
(well, to someplace in Seattle or environs), or an activity - let me
know.

Also, applications for student spots are closed now -- but we may well
be able to slip a UW grad student or two in still -- let me know also
if you're interested in that.

Thanks!
    Alan
