Cracking at the lock hole while handling it, that happened to me also. Fourtunatley the crack is not big enough to be seen and is still covered by the bezel nut. I have not seen a repro yet, so if you find a good used one, be very carefull when handling and installing it. If you bend it, it will

Hey Tom, out of curiousity, which side was the difficlut side for you? I
found the driver side was the tough one for me with my repro inners. I did
eventually get it to bolt in using all the holes but it took some persuasion
with a pointed pry bar! The passenger side almost fell into place.
