If I may make a suggestion,I wouldn't use the 78-88 G-body brake kits as they only use a 10" rotor. A 55 Chev isn't a lightweight and really needs something with a 11" rotor. As a Baer dealer,I can sell you their Super Street brake kit for that car that features vented 11" rotors and Corvett
