Use silicone spray. It will clean the wires and leave them resistant to
moisture.
Take a shop rag and lay the wire in the rag, spray both and pull the wire
back and forth through the wet rag.
You can also spay the inside of the distributor cap to clear moisture and
water. Good after cleaning eng

If you use carb cleaner, I think it will take the lettering right off.

Go Jo hand cleaner works great.

Hi Mark,
Check out this web page, though not an official study, it should answer most
of your oil filter questions...

I haven't heard of GM selling off the AC/Delco line. AC

Are you talking ignition timing? Nothing to do with cam specs.

Does anybody happen to know why the power window regulator for 1968 Chevelle
is also listed as fitting 1968-72 Elky, whereas the manual one for 1968
Chevelle is not listed as fitting Elky at all? Seems like a misprint on the
part of the manufacturer. I was hoping somebody would know.
Thanks,
John
I use AC filters on all my cars. I have never had any issues with them.

I used some Carb Cleaner on mine. It took the lettering off, but they came up nice.

Hi Folks,
I am in need to get my timing done, and for some reason I lost the sheet of
paper that when the cam was degreed in, what was the mark for the timing.
So, with that ... I do have my cam specs. Can the timing be figured out
from it or would I have to go by 'feel' ?
I am a firm believer in believing my own eyes.
The Car Quest store has cut aparts for oil filters, Fram, AC, and theirs.
Fram is Fram and anybody who has cut stuff apart and compared the internals
says they are cheap. I saw that.
AC Delco has the nice blue finish, but the insides were questiona

Hey guys,
I just pulled a crank out of a junkyard motor, and one of the rod
journals has been machined about 50 thousandths down from the stock
spec. All the other journals show a bit of wear, one or two thou at
most.
Is this crank usable for a street rebuild, or should I be looking for

Herb,
I've used Fast Orange handcleaner, and it takes off all kinds of
baked-on crap. Just put a bit of it on a rag and wipe them down. Use
a wet cloth to wipe them again to make sure you have all the cleaner
off, as it smells foul when heated. :-)
Dave.

Ok, I know this is probably going to sound dumb, but has anyone cleaned
their plug wires before? What did you use? I was going to wipe them down
