Subject: [Chevelle-list] Gardner Exhaust
System
I have a complete Gardner Exhaust
I was wanting to run at least
275/60's on the back with at least 8 inch wheels. I thought of going with a 10
inch wheel with a 295/50 but I was afraid that would be to much. I plan on
running 215/60's on the front with a 7 or 8 in wheel.

On my '66 I haveNitto NT555P275/40ZR17 out back. My wheels
are 17" Budnik Fontanas17x9.5
(5.5 BS). I think they look really nice without any rub at all. I probably
could had gone a little larger - I've seen post on www.pro-touring.comwith guys running
285s - 305s.

It's not a typo, Gardner kits are complete and top of the line as well as a
perfect factory duplicate. A friend of mine paid $900 for the it on his
Clint,
Didn't you convert your Camino to air ride??? Is the ride improved over
your coil over? My next step is front and rear suspension replacement, and
I'm trying to decide which way to go. If the air adds performance or
stability of ride...I'm for it...
What was your approximate cost for
Another method is to run a tap in it. It The tap screws in and pulls the bushing out. John 67 SS396

On a 68-72,up to a 275 front and 315 rear tire can be fitted. Backspace is the
critical part. Getting it right will allow up to a 9.5" front and 11" rear
wheel.
335's will not fit
With proper backspacing,an 18x11 rear wheel and
315/30/18 tire would fit,too.

I generally refer to "backhalved" and cutting the rear of a car off and and
grafting it on to another car to fix damaged metal. IE if a car was
rearended, backhalf another car
