Subject: [Chevelle-list] O/T repairing aluminum
Harlan;
Are you possibibly talking about the weep hole on the bottom of the pump
that leaks when the pump starts to go/is worn out?
See http://www.pbase.com/image/40046154 (non Chevelle)
I have never heard of anyone reparing in place. As mentioned, JB Weld may
hold for a while..but doubt
Hi!
Does anyone of you guys know where to get that?
I'm thinking of making new trailing arms out of rectangular steel profiles
or maybe milling them out of a piece of aluminum ?
Best regards

#1 I disconnected the ground I added and the light is still on
#2 I disconnected the wire to the sending unit and the light is still on
#3 I did a continuity check on the blue wire that goes to the sending unit, no
signal.
ALL WITH KEY ON
If I remove the ground I added the temp and fuel gauge

There is one and as far as I know it is grounded. It was working before the
circuit board fried.

I just found the problem...
It was the circuit board bulb socket..., one of the brass terminals sliped
under the circuit board when I twisted into place and grounded it to the gauge
housing. I couldn't believe when I saw it (with a mirror).
Thanks for all your help you guys are great!

Glad that you got it. Its frequently something that we do to
ourselves.Re your troubleshooting Item 3 - Do NOT check continuity
with power on. First you don't get an accurate reading - your no signal
shows that. Second you can burn out your meter.
