I'd give the new springs a chance to settle first. Your 'old' springs were 36 years old and probably lost a lot of tension. There is no such thing as small block or big block springs from 1969 on. Both the front and rear springs were determined by the weight of the car based on options ordered

I'd say spindles. Most likely the more expensive route, but you're not sacrificing any ride quality. If you lower it too much with springs, you'd have to get an alignment also. But the springs would be cheaper, and while I've never used them, I'm sure the Hotchkis lowering springs ride just as
