[Chevelle-list] Fuel Line

I have a 71 with a small block. I am creating a new fuel line from the pump to the carburetor using a braided steel line and aluminum fittings. My question is, the lower radiator hose touches the fittings and line, is this acceptable or does the entire run need to be unobstructed? It
