Has anyone had a '70-ish chevelle/Elky restored
with good results in the San Francisco bay area ? I'm considering having
my '70 Elky "done" for me, as work is really a better thing for me to spend more
time on (and my '73 Nova is being worked on by myself also).

I drive my '70 Elky ~ 30 miles total each day when it's cold or rainy here
in San Jose. Wouldn't want to be driving it in snow though w/the 295/50's
on the back :-)

that case here goesmine is a very nice 350 based '70 Elky. It's
got/had factory air and everything is there except the compressor. Are
there any good websites or books on how to restore an air conditioner system for
these things ? It's pretty hot in the truck during the summer as it
