i had no reason not to believe the owner. i purchased the car in 1978 for
parts. i later found that it was a big block vehicle. decided that i would
keep it . it not been restored ,because other projects came in the way. now i am
getting the time ,kids are gone the wife too, so the fever is
oh by the way i am not a numbers matching guy either. as long a it runs
good ,looks good and is paid for that what matters to me.

dale when you said after market a/c this looks to be factory. the dash and
the blower ass on the firewall look to be factory. maybe i am wrong?

dale don t have original engine it was gone when i got it. i purchased car
for parts years ago.the owner said it was a 396/375 . maybe he

YES MY 66 CHEVELLE IS VIN#138. BUT MY 66 ELCO CAME WITH SS OPTIONS HOOD
DASH GAUGES ECT. IT HAD A 396/375 WITH AC AS WAS TOLD BY THE ORIGINAL
OWNER. HE SPECIALORDERED IT WITH ALL THOSE OPTIONS. HE SAID HE SOLD
IT BECAUSE OF ONLY 10 MILES TO THE GALLON OF GAS. I HAVE NO REASON NOT TO
BELIEVE

mentioned that gm did not produce a 66 chevelle solid lifter engine with a L78

out if gm made a 2 door wagon in 66?this is the first i have
