Hi: While working 12 hour shifts at the Pentagon, I had a mechanic/friend of mine install an Edelbrock 1722 Performer Series Street Pump with an Edelbrock 1797 Bottom Feed Fuel Pump Plate Kit. The 1797 plate kit allow you to run the fuel line (braided) to the bottom of the fuel pump and keeps the line away from heat sources. Now my mechanic/friend is telling me that part of the fuel pump base is leaking. I suspect that is because the gasket or 1797 plate kit was not installed properly or perhaps a defective plate kit. Question: a. Any Chevelle owners employ the Edelbrock 1722 fuel pump ? Experiences ? (note: it does seem to make the engine run better due to more CFM flow rates). b. Any experiences with the Edelbrock 1722 fuel pump and accompanying 1797 plate kit ? E.G., elimate the 1797 plate kit ? Thanks, Ken McD... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? NEW from Yahoo!
