I'm really not sure why the A/C cars got a line directly to the water pump. Presumably the coolant at the pump would actually be hotter than the coolant in the radiator. Usually the "other" heater hose went directly to the radiator on non-A/C cars.       -Original Message- >I

    Here's a strange one...my truck has the larger hose going from the radiator to the heater corenothing comes from the water pumpit's blocked with a plug. The truck runs at 190 all the time...I plan on replacing the radiator since it's a two core and moving the heater hose to the water

I'm thinking the 5/8" hose should be from the intake and the 3/4" from the water pump like my 327. Every aftermarket fitting I've seen (from Summit and Mr. Gasket anyway) confirm that. Now I'm just curious as to why my heater core on the Chevelle has the 5/8" connection on the bottom and the 3/4
