bject: [Chevelle-List] SBC
distributors
Hi people,
I'm looking for a new or lightly used distributor
for my 350 in the Impala
Does anyone make a dist. that has a smaller
diameter cap, mine almost hits the firewall, and is a PITA to
adjust..

Dan:
are you using a stock distributor or an HEI unit? You can go after market and get a MSD that has a smaller cap.

I know MSD has what they call a small diameter distributor. I found it here at Summit:
MSD-8570 Chevrolet: V8, small diameter Pro-Billet distributor $225.95

MSD Ignition
Product Line:
MSD Pro-Billet Distributors
Material:
Billet A
The Mallory unilite is a small diameter cap, same size as the original
dist I think.
The MSD is a better unit, but I'm not sure how it's diameter compares.
The MSD I think is just slightly larger in diameter.
