What year block? I think only the early blocks weren't drilled in the crank. 65 and older?

That's the funny thing... The casting # is for '67
(3903352), but the engine stamp on the front reads for
a '65 327(TO113EA). It's very odd.

Regardless if the crank snout is drilled or not, that
bolt shouldn't be used. It's a fine thread and can strip easily.
Best to get the right tool for job. Better to get a crankshaft socket and
use a 1/2" breaker bar. Besides, with the socket you can turn the engine
both ways if needed.
Jim,
The EA code was used from 65 thru 68 on the 327 engines with manual trans.
T would be Tonawanda built and 0113 would be Jan. 13. The casting number
appears to be a 67 unique number according to info from the www.mortec.com
site.

A 327 I just bought has no bolt in the center of the
crank I can put a wrench on to manually turn the crank
over. Any suggestions?
PS Man I wish you guys were all my neighbors..

rotating.

If the damper
i use a long prybar on the flywheel, and use the tranny case as leverage, i'll be doing this tomorrow as I need to disconnect the torque converter so I can pull the tranny out, i smoked it in Nashville last week :(. It still works, but is slipping something fierce. I have to get the 70 ready for
