[Chevelle-list] rear end question

2006-09-11 Thread Bob Haggard
I am in the market for new rear end gears for my 70 Nova that now has a 2.56 (stock). I plan to get a 3.08 posi since I have a 700-R4 and the rpm's are only 1,450 @ 60 mph now and the 3.08 should raise that to 1,740. This car has a RamJet 350/350 and it's my highway cruiser. Any recommendation

To correct your speedo, you can go here: http://my.core.com/~faldrich/speedo.htm OR Here: http://www.novaresource.org/speedo.htm Either should get you in the ballpark so the speedo is accurate. rick schaefer 72 El camino http://members.home.net/jimmy4/rick1972elky.html ACES #00140 Team Ch

Your speedometer will read about 13% high at all speeds (3.08/2.73 = 1.128).   Mike - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2002 10:05 PM Subject: [Chevelle-List] Rear End Question Greetings Gang,Just
