Vernon,     Unfortunately, I do not have enough knowledge on the subject to speak - or write about it accurately.  I believe it was used as a way to test the turn signals, headlights (?), from the drivers seat.  There was also a piece that was mounted on the rear speaker shelf, that monitore

never seen on a real car but did know they made them. guy had some on ebay had a set of NOS fiber optics awhile back for some outrageous price   Larry (Z)
