Joe, Back in my youth.. Wayy back there! I had a 66SS with vinyl top and I used a black paste wax that was sold for vinyl tops. It went on like a shoe polish and dried. I would them take a rag and wipe it clean and it left a natural shine protection etc.  I had not complaints except I do m
