Don I'd wait unless you are very anxious to get it on the road - and who isn't. Remember that the spline count on your 6 cylinder tranny input shaft may be different than the 4 spd will have. Then you'd have to buy a second clutch too. On 6/8/05, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote

Hi, I have a 69 chevelle that is stock with a 6 cyl. & 3 speed saginaw, I have a 396 that will replace the 6 cyl. and I was wondering if anyone knew whether the 3 speed would work with my 396 long enough for me to find a 4 speed? Or should I not bother and just wait? Thanks in advance! Don Al
