Hi Guys,
When installing the engine oil dipstick tube in my new 350, is it supposed
to somehow be pressed in the block more than hand tight? The retainer tab
to a manifold bolt
I'm confusied, how do you seat the tube to the block? Lightly tapping on the
wrench?

Yup.. you got IT . You insert the tube into the wrench and slid the wrench
down till it hits the expanded seat/seal. You then use your weapon of choice
to TAP.. read TAP the WRENCH to seat the filler

On the '69+ BBC oil pan, where is the dipstick located? I have an oil
pan that is supposed to be for a '69, and it fits fine, but the dipstick
tube opening is entirely on

the tube for my 454 is in the oil pan on passenger side. I got a
dipstick/tube from summit. Fits right in and bolts to one of the header
bolts.
