Any body running flat tappet cams might want to read the June issue of Hot Rod magazine.According to the article oil manufactures have taken out zinc and phosphorus additives. (ZDDP) With the elimination of this additive it wipes out your cam and lifters.The only oil that has it is shell Rotella

The zinc and phosphorous additives tend to plug up catalytic converters on newer vehicles and they have roller valvetrains which can live without the stuff. There are still quite a few oils with these additives,though. I know Valvoline, Redline, Shell,and a few others do. Any SD-rated oil will
