We, meaning many experienced Hot Rodders, told what to
do! You can not hurt this Tach! Ground on side and
touch other leads to you battery charger and see what
happens. One is Display light. One is tach power and
the other is signal. Otherwise, go buy another tach
and quit wasting time on this
Thanks for the honesty Mike; regards.

Hi,
Well, finally got some time to work on this again. I hooked up the three
wires coming from the main-section of the tach, but no go. With black going
to ground, either with the blue going to 12v and/or yellow going to coil, I
am getting no activity from it.
Someone before asked to know what
Thanks!

Graham, try putting this on Team Chevelle in the electrical forum. There
are guys there who are wizards when it comes to gauges. Or, if you don't
want to do that, I'll do it for you.

I am not sure what brand it is, but I opened it up to check it out and I
can't figure it out.
Is there any tests I can do with a my volt/ammeter to know for sure what
wire is what? I guess I can hook up the tach and give it a shot, as per
Tom's suggestion.
I'll see if I got sometime this
is the coil, but that's just a guess.

Hi Bill,
Yup, I can tell the colors - I *assuming* the black one is ground. The two
mystery wires are yellow and blue. I am reading the values from the tach -
it's not wired or connected to the car. Neg on the black and the positive on
the yellow and the again with the positive on the blue. Is

leads

Hi Tom,
It does, and that wire has been accounted for. However, there could be
another
bulb in there because of the turn signal. Good question, I will try

One is reading a lower ohm reading than the other ... is that the coil wire?
TIA.
