I have a 327 in my '66 from a '67 Chevelle, and it has
the camel hump heads on it (original heads). The
engine was originally 275HP and 10.5:1 compression
stock.

hardened valve seats, and also used domed pistons when

If it were my car,I would probably look for a pair of later heads w/hardened
seats. It can be hard to add these seats to older heads without cutting into
the water jackets.

I've pulled the heads off the 327 for what looks like
some burnt exhaust valves. It did get over heated a
couple of times.
I'd like to set them up for using unleaded regular. I
have been running it on regular for a while now so I suspect
it may have helped with the roasted v
