Hi guys
I bought a set of early 70's Chevelle SS rims
(15"). I am planning on putting them on my 68 Chevelle. I was
wondering what size would be acceptable. I am looking for a nice wide
stance but nothing real crazy. Anybody have any prefferences or
ideas?? I am also looking at getting them
Sorry guys...
I was looking for input on what size of tires to
put on the rims...just read my own email and noticed it...
DUH
Sorry
Ryan
How wide are your rims, and what's your
offset?

The rims are 15 x7's. Now time for a rookie
question how do you accuratly measure offset?
Thanks
Ryan
Go to wheelvintiques or a bunch of other sites and get
a good instruction. better than explaining here long
and winded.

i have 15 inch rallys on my chevelle 7's in the front and 8's
in the bac i run 225 70 on front anf 255 70 on rear they fill the wheel house up
and with air shocks down give it kinda a tubed out
look
I believe the rims have a 4" back space with "0"
offset.
Thanks
Ryan
My 68 had 15 x 7 Rally wheels when I got it with 245-60 Goodrich T/A's on
it. I didn't have any rub problems the car handled
good. Today I mounted my new 225-70-14
Red Stripes on the car with stock 14 x 6 steel wheels and the factory SS
396 wheel covers. I'm going for the original look, to me,
Bill,
I agree that chrome looks better on dark color
cars. With light colors they almost get lost in paint and that defeats the
purpose of the chrome in the first place..
Bill,
You have any pics of your car with the wheels/tires
you want to sell?
A link?
