You probably aren't looking to change platforms, but if you want to
do all those things easily, get a Mac. All thevstuff you want to do
is built in with iLife08 on OS X. No viruses, no spyware, stuff just
works.

I am not an expert but I found that the Nero Suite did a pretty good job making
home videos and slideshows. You could probably download a demo
