Hi dennis I am running a newly installed tremec 5 speed in a 70 chevelle with a 525 hp big block the only thing I did was run a set of KYB gas shocks with the stock control arms that were factory boxed wioth BFGoodrich radial TA's and that stopped my wheel hop. Just my experience good luck

I just installed a Tremec 5 speed into my 68 SS. I switched from a TH 400. The problem That I have now is bad wheel hop. I never had it with the 400. I am running monroe gas charged shocks on the rear of my 70. I boxed the upper and lower control arms myself. Poly bushings and no traction devices. I do not have any wheel hop problems. I do believe that any car will wheel hop if the tires are grossly overpowered by the engine. Walt >==
