I had a bad wheel hop problem on my restoration with new springs, boxed
upper and lower control arms, and three inch spacers under the spring (were
there when I bought the car, I did not know they did not belong).
Yesterday I removed the 3" spacers and now the car sits level, rides bette
I am running monroe gas charged shocks on the rear of my 70. I boxed the
upper and lower control arms myself. Poly bushings and no traction devices.
I do not have any wheel hop problems. I do believe that any car will wheel
hop if the tires are grossly overpowered by the engine.

this restore. A guy I talked to today said he had a Mustang that wheel
hopped bad when it had gas shocks on the back, removing the gas charged
shocks helped the problem.
One data point does not make a trend for me.
