If you have an ohmmeter check your plug wires for resistance. Any idea how old they are? Are all your ignition wiring connections clean and tight? How old are the cap and rotor? If it's been more than a couple of years since they've been replaced it'd be a good time to do it, especially

My 72 malibu has been running great. It has the factory 307 2bbl in it. It has been missing a little here and there, usually when its hot, and in the afternoon/evening, and tonight was worse when I was on my way home. I took all the plugs out *(one at a time as to not mess up the wires) cleaned
