Hi all,
I set my timing yesterday on my motor with the
vacuum advance disconnected..
I set it at 8° BTDC, and it runs great.until I
hook up the vacuum advance again, at which point it starts wanting to stall
right off idle, and backfiring out of the exhaust..
any ideas what my problem

that assume

the timingwith the light after the vacuum is reconnected and let us know
what it is .. could be something wrong with the mechanism in the distributor. I
saw on one time that would retard the timing when vacuum was hooked up. Seems
like I remember that something to do with the
