Thanks to Wkit (http://www.wkit.com.br) now we have the name
chicken.wiki.br pointing to galinha.ucpel.tche.br. Quite shorter and
hopefully more meaningful name for the Chicken wiki.

The commands I executed to install GMP were:
$ sudo ./configure --host=none-apple-darwin --enable-cxx --enable-shared
$ sudo make
$ sudo make check
To my knowledge, no error messages were thrown and make check
succeeded. Any other ideas on how to troubleshoot?

usually dynamic libraries get built by default -- but you can explicitly
request them by passing --e
