Jazz has the fish breath too...since funds are tight, I mix up a small paste out of baking soda, put it on q-tips and attempt to brush her back teeth with it. She will slither and wiggle, but when I show her the treat box, she'll stop. I am not putting a lot of paste, just very little...however,

I would get a second opinion.. And their is no reason they cant give her pain medication.. I was just reading a book about geriatric cats. And they said that they could use fentanyl pain patches for pain. So if they can use them on cats they should be able to use on chi's too. Don't give up to so
