I am not putting a lot of paste, just very little...however,

I would get a second opinion.. And their is no reason they cant give her
pain medication.. I was just reading a book about geriatric cats. And they
said that they could use fentanyl pain patches for pain. So if they can use
them on cats they should be able to use on chi's too.

thank you Diana. Since Kiko is black, unless there is any redness, pain,
tenderness, ect, my first thought would be that this is appolecia (sp)
which is very common in blues and blue is simply a dilute of black. If
that is what this is, then I would say it is the worst case of it I have

Marsha,
I have been writing about this for a long time and asking advice.
She started losing her hair about a year ago.
I have had her to specialists, changed her food, given her thyroid, etc. etc.
They wanted me to take her to the University for testing and she and I were
out of $$$, out of nerve
wow...what did I miss?? that is significant hair loss, what is it?
Possible blue apolcia (sp)?

Naomi, here's an idea on how to catch her pee pee. Follow her around with a
pee pad and when she pees, put it under her but on the plastic part, not the
absorbant part. It'll just roll right into the container you will transport it

Gloria,
you will find the right puppy. Keep in mind, that the standard size for a chi
is up to 6lbs. Don't let anyone charge you more because they are "little".
Sometimes people will want more because of the size of the dog, pay for
quality, not size.

When I took my 18yr old cat in cuz she started peeing outside the box.. The
vet just took a strip and squeezed up against her ureter.. Prolly could do
that with a female chi too. I would call the vet and ask.

I just went throught this with Angel. I put a piece of unprinted newsprint
on her potty pad and it was easy to pour it in to a container. Mind you I
had to watch her like a hawk to catch her peeing.
Only you and God know your heart.
