Desi loves to preen himself. Last night I was on the phone and he was laying in one of the little dog beds. I saw his head move very much forward to be just licking his feet and then I was hearing little clicking sounds. Then he would lift up his paw and clean it again and then start over again.

2 of our 3 Chi's chew their nails but it is usually in conjunction with cleaning out their ears. They use their paws like a Q-tip to clean their ears then lick off their paw and chew the nails a bit as a result. Our dainty girl seems obsessed by the hair between her back toes. she licks and l

Ever since I got "Oreo" three years ago, she has gone through a bedtime ritual of making her nest, and then chewing her nails before going to sleep. The only nails I have to clip are the outside ones on her front paws and her back nails. Does anyone else have a ChiChi who bites their nails?
