My trainer...is more of a natural trainer and would totally disagree
with the above statement. Would you not comfort a child who was
frighten??

I agree with Rebecca that we have to be careful not to enforce more fear by
over protecting them. Some times just a few rounds of totally ignoring him
may work. Have you tried to remove the leash once he is in the car?

Yes it makes sense. Hard to do but makes sense as our first instinct is to
mother our babies when they are frightened or cry. I was recently over my gfs

Do you have homeowners coverage in place for the new house? I would not want
to travel without it on one house or the other. Most policies give you some
coverage while you are in transit, so make sure one or the other is in force.
Just curious - Did you travel up to see the new place?
