Flea and tick killer which controls and prevents fleas and ticks. It
is a natural product that contains clove and peppermint oil.
Frontline Plus is good

Ok K9 Advantix. Got it. The fleas are gone completely as I mentioned. Just the
skin itch but that is much less. Wait a few more days.

Liza has no more fleas. Her bedding is completely clean and I did treat the
house too. She is on a different spot on treatment. It was just the itching and
I guess that takes awhile to go away. It is much less now and looks like it
will stop.
Thanks for the input.

Your quite welcome. Advantage only kills fleas and not ticks and I have
heard of people saying it wasn't that great for fleas either. The K9Advantix
not only kills both, both but it also wards off fleas from going on a dog.

I'm so sorry about your Taco. Does the vet know what is causing it?
My choco lab had Degenerative Myelopathy a slow degeneration of the spinal
cord. I've never heard of it though in Chis. Probably something else.

If they are allergic to flea bites they moght need Prednisone or even a little
Benadryl depending how severe the reaction is. Fleas only feed on the animal
they nest and breed elsewhere like beds, blankets, pillows, rugs, chairs, and
carpets so the environment also needs treating

Also meant to say that I will pick up some Advantage if itching doesn't stop
after using the Dawn. That was going to be my next solution too.

Thanks Peggy. That makes sense. That explains why she could be itching from old
flea bites. The itching is getting less often now. Maybe just give it some
time. I haven't sprayed her with Vets Best Flea and Tick either for a number of
days since she's on the Zodiac.

I use Advantix, no itching, or side effects. I have gotten bit by a fleas in
the past and I can tell you those bites itch for atleast 2 weeks no matter
what I tried to stop the itch, then one day my sister told me to try washing
the area with Dawn detergent and the itching finally stopped!

What are folks doing for flea control? I started off with Vets Best Flea and
tick killer which controls and prevents fleas and ticks. It is a natural
product that contains clove and peppermint oil. Very soothing to for the dog.I
used it several times a week. Occasionally I saw a dead baby flea.
