I'm not sure why, but we are told that none of the smaller dogs should ever
have Lepto. The rescues that I have (minpins) NEVER get Lepto because I'm told
they can often have a reaction to it. I sure hope that your little chi is ok!

At our PetSmart, they taught us to tell the dog "wrong" instead of no. She
would just look at me as I stood and told her
'wrong'...'wrong'...'wrong'...etc. Eventually, after a little sigh, she would
finally sit or downshe knew...but for Jade, early classes were more about
play then respon

My little ones love to sleep all day while I'm at work, so get little exercise,
and at first, I thought that it was cute when my little Jade began to get a
little fluffy around the edges. Then I took in three fosters that were grossly
over-weight and about 8 years old. It suddenly dawned on me
Thank you Jeannine! I think she is beautiful too, and not at all spoiled! She
is very smart but she was VERY stubborn. It took almost 3 classes (advanced)
before she would really do what I told her, when I told her. She knew exactly
what I wanted but she had little issues like not wanting to s
Sheila: The way it was explained in our class was that either method works and
some dogs are just plain afraid of the clicker, however, you can click faster
then you can vocalize a 'yes'...and therefore, you are always re-enforcing the

Yes, unfortunately, they are. I couldn't pull them with 7 dogs at my house. I
just keep putting the word out in hopes that someone will be in need or a chi
rescue will swoop in and grab them. Unfortunately, when you are in rescue,
this is one of the downsides. I love happy tails but they don
My thanks and gratitude to all that were patient while I vented about the two

will be adopted soon. My heart just went out to the little

priority. The last pins I took in were almost lame. Why can't people at least
see the obvious? I leave work in about 20 minutes and my cell phone is

See if you can find someone in CRT (Chihuahua Rescue and Transport) They can
be found and contacted via the internet. I'm sure there are others around but I
know they are everywhere and what little I've dealt with them, they are
extremely credible. If that doesn't work, and you'd be willing to
I'm not sure how far you are from Dallas, but I'm in Rowlett, just outside of
Dallas. If you need to find her a home quickly, I would be happy to take her
and keep her until I can find a home for her. I've come into the middle of this
conversation, so I apologize. I do rescue for Minpins but ha
