I took Lily for her first walk yesterday. We are
starting off slow while she is recovering but she is
full of energy and has the funniest little trot. I
got her to run a little but she wasn't too optimistic
on the idea. Maybe she will work up to it as she gets
back in shape.

Keeping Lacey's limitations in mind, I restrict her to the shorter
trails for now. I don't take her out on overnighters. Also, when I
get ready for longer trails, I have found the perfect shoulder bag
in which to carry her when she tires out. In addition, I carry a
portable dog bowl or baggi
