Subject: [Chihuahuas] question...

My new little girl is very active! When she plays, she plays hard. When she sleeps, she sleeps hard! We have started house  breaking but I know thatll be a long drawn out situation. My question is when we play with her she likes to bite, like any other normal puppy but should I tell her no for biting in play? She's also very vocal. She loves to growl while playing. She's so funny....

My experience with my chihuahua/miniature pinscher:

I play with him hard, my goal was to toughen him up a bit, just in case he needed to defend himself, God forbid! Plus, Well, I wanted a boy, and I like to play boy games with him. He has learned how to use his mouth and teeth like with the finesse that I had hoped for!

My partner:

He has never allowed Tico, the Chihuahua mix to bite, in their play. And Tico understands the difference.

Mine loves to growl and make all kinds of noise in his play, LOL, So do I!
