Oh I forgot!  My dogs are highly socialized.  I take them
everywhere so they have been exposed to all sorts of new things since
they were pups!  That's the key to being unafraid.  Even my
little rescue is fine with new experiences now!

            Oh
my. . . . How do you exercise a 3 pound chi? She is afraid of
everything and everyone She seems too fragile to be me to take to a
public park where all kinds of dogs walk. Am I being too cautious? She
does not play . . . She hides if not held. But then we are a new home
to her. She at least did bark yesterday LOL. Is it just too soon? Yis

Absolutely
correct!  Mine eat Nutromax, adult and then the puppy for
one.  They also get a lot of exercise that keeps them slim.
(Unlike their owner!)

How much they pop will also depend on what they are eating. Better food
 means less poop

My Boys eat a quarter cup in the morning and Milkbones at night with
training! They poop immediately when I bring them down in the morning and
sometimes again after eating in the morning. They also poop once during the
day in the litter box when I'm at work! They are 8 lbs and 4 lbs. My eight
 pounder is tall, and slim.

LOL I had to laugh as i read theses posts because I have a handicap
daughter and a chi. Eating and pooping is always of great importance LOL .
Ok, my questions are: how much should a 3.5 lb chi be eating and how often
should they pooh please. She has only pooh'd twice since monday when we got
her. She has been eating an eighth of a cup in the morn and an eighth of a
cup at night of royal canine (a brand I know nothing about but came from the
sweet breeder that we got her from). Does this sound right ya'll? Yis
