thanks to brett.batie.com, I found that setting your UserAgent to be a Mac
safari-user
lets both netflix and gmail work fine! Use this flag:

Firefox does have the IETab addon that allows people to get around this.
Something
similar may fix multiple sites that are only designed for IE.
