IME logic is totally handled by browser process. renderer has nothing to do
with it. And chrome browser process
just uses GtkIMMulti

Nothing special is done in chromium to support input method. I can't
reproduce this
problem on Ubuntu with scim and scim-bridge. I h

I still wonder why the locale affects the behaviour?

I think I have the similar problem with Chromium latest build on Fedora 11.
As my environment is zh_CN.UTF-8 and use SCIM as input method.

chromium depends on GtkIMMulticontext for input method support. It should
work if
GtkIMMulticontext can load correct im module. Please check if
