Having the same problem. Added googleupdate to the firewall and still didnt work. Made sure the BITS was running. Still didnt work. Disabled the firewall. Still no joy. Somewhat frustrating. I tried and failed to install chrome on this computer when i first bought it and had no luck then either. Running a Windows Vista Home Premium on a Samsung R610 laptop.
