I just tried this from the dev channel. The same issue occurred. I have a
redirect
from / to /something. If I navigate to / then it correctly goes to

I suspect that 1.x may have a problem but 2.x probably does not. Could you
try a 2.x
build from http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous

Unfortunately, this issue is definitely not fixed in Chrome 1.0.154.36
