Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 27244 by shabad.chawla: Default browser is not correctly set (Vista Ultimate SP1 x86) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=27244
Chrome Version : Chromium 4.0.222.3 / ChromePlus 1.3.0.0 URLs (if applicable) : N/A Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 4: Firefox 3.x: IE 7: IE 8: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Install ChromePlus on a Vista PC that already has Chrome installed 2. Choose to make ChromePlus the default browser during installation / first run 3. What is the expected result? ChromePlus should be the default browser for all http:// and https:// links What happens instead? Chrome remains the default browser. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Clicking a link from anything other than ChromePlus causes Chrome to be launched. ChromePlus and Chrome both think they are the default browser. The "Default Programs" feature of Vista does not show ChromePlus as an option (under both Default Programs and "Associate a file or protocol..."). I have attached a screenshot.
